Parallel Session H: Social Impacts of Climate Policies
16:30 – 18:00
In November 2018, the OECD will hold its 2018 Green Growth and Sustainable Development (GGSD) Forum on the theme of “Inclusive solutions for the green transition: Competitiveness, jobs/skills and social dimensions”.
The conference will address the political economy of green and low-carbon policy reforms, identify their distributional impacts, and explore inclusive solutions for households, workers, sectors and regions that may otherwise be hit hard by the transition to help them contribute to a greener future.
The Forum sessions will be developed around competitiveness, employment and distributional impacts of green policies.
During parallel H, findings from recent COP21 RIPPLES research will be presented by Sanna Markkanen (University of Cambridge), titled “Social impacts of climate change mitigation policies and their implications for inequality“.
You can register your attendance to the conference on OECD website.
